Throw like a girl!

The day before Easter we went to a Tech Softball game.  The kids got in free with their Easter baskets and there was and egg hunt after the game.  It was Kendall's first time at a softball game and Jackson hadn't been in a LONG time.  I loved playing softball growing up.  I wanted to show Kendall and Jackson that girls have game too!  We had a great time even though it was hot and REALLY windy!

This is what kids look like when they have eaten their weight in dirt (not purposefully...FYI)!

I'm always amazed at the power these girls have - very impressive!

Kendall's first Raider Red hug of the day...yes, there were many!

We sat right above the Tech bullpen.  Jackson and Kendall would have been happy just watching the girls warm up.

Loving the bullpen!

Waiting for autographs and the egg hunt.

Jackson walked through the dugout and got all the girls' autographs.  He didn't say but two words - he was so shy around all those ladies!  Some of them had helped at Red Raider Play Day and remembered him - it was really sweet!

Waiting on the field for the hunt to begin...

She creates her own entertainment...

Jackson scopes out a game plan to get the most eggs.  Kendall pretends to listen.

Raider Red starts them off...

She's eyeing Raider Red - she really loves him!  Even more than hunting eggs!

One last hug and "I love you" for Raider Red.

It's Brittany Talley (a great pitcher)!  She remembered Jackson from Play Day.  So sweet and talented!  Kendall was enthralled by her glove and her bow - it's the little things!

Yommy joined us for autographs and hunting.  Nope, I didn't get a single pic of her with the kids (kicking myself)!  We had a great time watching the Raiders even though we lost to the Longhorns.  BOO! :(

Verse of the day - "Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.  Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing." 1 Peter 3:8-9

Blessings,
Kelli

  2. Those players had excellent memories. Jackson must have flirted with them. Mom
